A Catholic professional and business club is continuing to help members find jobs with its events, including a workshop that’s coming on Friday.

Catholics at Work OC will present a half-day workshop retreat to assist with job transitions, called “Spirituality and Confidence.” The event is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 10 at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 2046 Mar Vista Drive in Newport Beach.

Attendants are asked to bring a sack lunch and drink. The cost is $20.

The Rev. Chris Heath, the group’s chaplain, and Joan Smith, a career coach, are set to lead the discussions.

Mark McElrath, who organizes the events, stated in an e-mail message to members that he recently got a message from a woman who found a job after attending a previous retreat. The woman said she found a job after seven months of unemployment and 12 interviews. A 20-minute interview finally landed her employment.

Another workshop is set for August 21 at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Anaheim.
